Share info and files (Wiki)

Share files

Great for keeping documents you both use, like contracts, instruction manuals, and travel tickets. Each file can be up to 1GB.

What is it?

Upload photos and videos, and also files like PDFs, and share them just between the two of you. Files aren't compressed. The original file is encrypted and stored securely.

How to use it

  • On the Home screen, tap "+" at the top right of "Top," then choose "File" (in Custom mode, you can also create one from "+" on the Wiki tab's top page or inside a folder). Then choose "Choose from album" or "Choose a file."
  • With either "Choose from Album" or "Choose a File," you can pick up to 50 at once. Each file you pick becomes its own page.
  • If you pick from your files, a confirmation appears: for one file it asks whether to upload "[file name].pdf," and for two or more it asks whether to upload that number of files.
  • While uploading, a progress indicator shows at the bottom of the screen. When it's done, your partner gets a notification, and "Added a file" appears in the timeline.
  • PDF, HTML (.html), Markdown (.md), and text (.txt) files can be viewed in the app: tap the file and choose "Preview." For other files, use "Send" or "Download" to open them in another app.
  • To change a file's name, tap it and choose "Rename." Only the name shown in the app changes.

FAQ

Q. Can I add any kind of file?

A few file types, such as program-related files, can't be uploaded, but most common files work.

Q. Can we view a travel itinerary (HTML file) made with AI together?

Upload the HTML file (.html) from "File," and you can both view it in the app. Things like switching tabs inside the page work as usual, and you can long-press text to copy it.
- Pages that load fonts or images from the internet may look different when you have no signal. On most pages, the text is still readable.
- Checkmarks you add to a checklist in the page are saved only on that device (if the page saves them). Your partner can't see them.
- When you tap a link in the page, you're asked to confirm, and then it opens in your browser or maps app.
- Some features, such as ones that use the camera or location, or that fetch the latest info like weather from the internet, don't work inside the app.

Q. I saved an AI-made itinerary as Markdown (.md). Can we view it in the app?

Yes. Headings, bullet lists, tables, and checklists are formatted for you. Text files (.txt) are shown as they are, including large ones such as a chat history exported from LINE. In both, you can long-press to copy things like a booking number.
- When you tap a link, you're asked to confirm first, just like with HTML.
- Files that aren't UTF-8 (such as text made on older Windows PCs) may show garbled characters.
- Very long Markdown files are shown as plain text, without formatting like headings or tables.

Q. My large file won't go in

Each file can be up to 1.0GB. Anything bigger shows "The file is larger than 1.0GB" and can't be selected. For large files like videos, split or compress them first.

Q. I uploaded several times today and now it won't go in

There's a limit on how much you can upload in a day. The free plan allows up to 50MB per day. COUPPLY PRO has no daily upload limit (up to your plan's storage limit). You can upload again once the date changes.

Q. How much can we store in total?

The total storage for the two of you is 3GB on the free plan and 100GB on the COUPPLY PRO plan (500GB, 1TB, or 2TB on higher plans).
